The Children’s Center Philosophy
We believe that all children should have the opportunity to grow and learn to their fullest potential. We recognize each child as a unique individual with patterns of growth affecting their development.
The Center has a strict policy of non-discrimination toward students and staff.
We are members of both the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and the Colorado Association for the Education of Young Children (CAEYC).
The Children’s Center is licensed by the State of Colorado and a member of the Colorado Child Care Association. We are inspected by the Health Department, Fire Department and State Licensing Department
We support honoring childhood and allowing children the space and time they need to develop and progress at their own rate. We work to help children be prepared for kindergarten while also allowing them the opportunities and experiences that allow them to embrace this short, yet formative season of early childhood.
The Children’s Center prides itself on our staff. Our teachers have a combined 135 years of experience working with young children. They utilize their degrees in Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Special Education, and Elementary Education to collaborate and create a strong school community that is optimal for every child’s development.
Each member of our staff has had extensive education and training in the field of education and Early childhood practices. We believe in a community of lifelong learners. All staff complete annual training and professional development classes to continue growing in the field of early childhood education. Our teachers rely on their deep knowledge of child development and best practices in the field to create hands-on learning experiences to engage children, trusting relationships between staff and children.
Safety and security are the top priority at The Children’s Center. We recognize that you are trusting us with your children while they have their first school experience away from home. All staff members receive CPR and First Aid training yearly, and are cleared with two different background checks required by the state of Colorado. We keep our doors locked during the day and all visitors are accompanied by staff members at all times.
